OMG: Back from the dead!

Yes, and you have found it. However, it has not been possible at this time to revive the previous competition interrupted by the destruction of Yahoo groups.

The good news is that I have spent the intervening period working on a host of programs designed to convert Avalon Hill's Title Bout boxing game into the WTBA platform, by moving the game from the internal platform to the bout log, which now has graphics, sound, and even movies!

I strongly am considering releasing at least some of the programs gratis; therefore, if you be interested, you will need to buy a computerized Title Bout from Out of the Park Developments or from P.I.S.D. in England. Buy the 2.5 version (do NOT get the 2013 variant -- my programs do not work on it). 'Tis the best $20 you ever will spend in your life, and the last I checked, the license was permanent.

IMPORTANT! If you buy a game, make a copy of everything and store it somewhere safe. All modifications at this time are experimental, so if something goes wrong, you want to be able to drop a copy of the original chip back in the game to get it working again.

ALSO: Some modifications (in the event you are disposed toward that) MUST be made with a hex editor! DO NOT USE WORDPAD OR NOTEPAD OR SIMILAR TEXT EDITORS WHEN WORKING ON THE .EXE OR COMMENTARY CHIPS SINCE SUCH AN EFFORT WILL DESTROY THEM! The commentary can be modified (with hex editor only), using javascript, to move the game to the bout log. Practice first, especially in terms of NOT using the "back" button!

The hex editor I use is Hex Editor Neo; you also will need a photo editor (Photoscape was free last I checked and is what I use); a sample of the bout log obtained has been posted here, I think in the WTBA fight scenes folder.
